We are seeking a dynamic and passionate English teacher to join our middle school team for Grades 6-8 under the IGCSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should possess a strong command of English language and literature, be well-versed with the Cambridge framework, and have experience in delivering engaging, learner-centered lessons that foster critical thinking, creativity, and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and structured lessons in English Language and Literature aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum.
Develop lesson plans, learning objectives, and assessments that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning needs.
Teach key concepts including reading comprehension, creative writing, grammar, poetry, and literary analysis.
Use differentiated instructional strategies to support learners at various ability levels.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.
Prepare students for internal assessments and eventual IGCSE checkpoints or progression to higher levels.
Provide regular feedback to students and parents regarding progress, strengths, and areas of improvement.
Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events, department meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
Integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
Encourage reading habits and language enrichment through activities such as debates, storytelling, book clubs, and writing competitions.
