Hindi Language TeacherPosition Title:

Hindi Teacher (Primary / Middle / Secondary Grades)

Department:

Languages - Hindi

Reports To:

Language Coordinator / Academic Head / Principal

Key Responsibilities:1. Academic Delivery

Plan and deliver Hindi lessons in alignment with the school curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State). Develop students' proficiency in Hindi

reading, writing, speaking, and grammar

. Encourage appreciation of Hindi literature, culture, and values through stories, poems, and texts. Use

age-appropriate and activity-based teaching strategies

to make language learning interactive and engaging.

2. Lesson Planning & Curriculum Implementation

Prepare detailed

lesson plans, teaching aids, and worksheets

. Integrate

NEP 2020 competencies

including experiential learning, critical thinking, and storytelling in teaching. Conduct regular

assessments

, classwork, homework, and provide timely feedback.

3. Language Development Activities

Organize Hindi

elocution, debates, storytelling, drama, and poetry recitation competitions

. Promote usage of correct and fluent Hindi in day-to-day communication within the school. Encourage students to participate in Hindi Diwas and other literary celebrations.

4. Classroom Management

Maintain discipline and ensure a

positive, inclusive classroom environment

. Support students with

different learning levels

through differentiated instruction and remedial teaching.

5. Evaluation & Records

Design and correct answer scripts for

tests, assignments, and exams

. Maintain accurate

student performance records

, attendance, and assessment data.

6. Parent & Staff Communication

Communicate student progress regularly with parents during PTMs or through written reports. Collaborate with colleagues to plan

interdisciplinary or language-integrated activities

7. Professional Development

Stay updated with new teaching methods and attend

workshops, training programs

, and CBSE/ICSE capacity-building sessions. Be open to

using digital tools

and online resources for blended or hybrid learning.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Qualification:

B.A./M.A. in Hindi + B.Ed. (mandatory)

Experience:

2-5 years of teaching Hindi in a recognized school preferred.

Skills:

Strong command over Hindi grammar and literature Clear pronunciation and spoken fluency Classroom and time management Creativity and communication Basic computer and digital literacy
