2: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central - Supply Chain Functional Consultant (Mid-Level)

Position: D365 Business Central - Supply Chain Functional Consultant

Experience: 4-5 Years (with 6-7 projects exposure required)

Location: Bangalore

Role Summary

We are looking for a dynamic

D365 Business Central Supply Chain Consultant

with robust hands-on experience across Procurement, Sales, Inventory Management, Warehousing, and basic Manufacturing. The consultant should have implemented BC end-to-end in

multiple industries and geographies

, capable of independently handling customer workshops, configuration, CRPs, UAT, training, and go-live support.
This role demands strong functional mastery, clear communication skills, and the ability to manage configurations and documentation without supervision.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Engagement & Business Process Understanding

Conduct requirement workshops across procurement, inventory, sales, warehouse, logistics, and manufacturing.
Map AS-IS and define TO-BE processes for diverse industries (manufacturing, distribution, services, trading).
Provide best-practice recommendations aligned with BC capabilities.

2. Module Configuration

Configure and deploy modules including:

Procurement (P2P)

Sales & Distribution (O2C)

Inventory & Warehouse Management

Manufacturing (Basic + Production BOM, Routing)

Jobs Module - basic exposure

Service Module - basic exposure

Item Master setup, costing methods, variants, reservations, planning parameters

Should be able to set up a

new legal entity end-to-end

.

3. Documentation & Project Governance

Prepare FRDs, FDDs/TDDs, CRs, and configuration documents.
Create and maintain UAT scripts, CRP decks, user guides, and training materials.
Work with technical consultants for integrations and customizations.

4. Implementation Lifecycle Execution

Provide product demos, CRPs, UAT preparation, and execution.
Lead configuration, data migration mapping, and validation activities.
Conduct KT & user trainings for supply chain modules.
Participate in cutover planning, go-live readiness, and hypercare activities.
Transition project deliverables to support/operations team.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with Finance consultants for costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing accounting.
Coordinate with technical teams on API/EDI/integration requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

4-5 years

of strong functional consulting experience on D365 BC.
At least

6-7 projects exposure

(full-cycle or partial but deep functional involvement).
Hands-on experience in SCM modules: Procurement, Inventory, Sales, Warehouse, Manufacturing.
Experience working with

multiple geographies and sectors

is mandatory.
Knowledge of costing methods, planning, reservation, item tracking, and warehouse strategies.
Excellent documentation, communication, and customer-facing skills.
Ability to independently handle customer workshops and project deliverables.
