Overview

We at Fortive are looking for a hands on M365 Architect, who can manage our Enterprise Collaboration ecosystem. The ideal person will gather business requirements, architect and support our Teams, SharePoint, PowerPlatform, CoPilot, Agentic AI initiative to provide value to our Operating Company business stakeholders and will provide Level 3 support to issues impacting the tenant.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Architecture, Platform Management and level 3 support
Gather requirements, design solutions, build and maintain overall architecture for Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 Groups


Ensure seamless integration between M365 services and critical business applications





Microsoft Teams Administration & Optimization
Govern Teams creation, management, and lifecycle to prevent sprawl while enabling agility


Design and implement Teams templates, policies, and governance frameworks





SharePoint & Content Management Excellence
Architect information architecture, site hierarchies, and content organization strategies


Manage permissions, sharing policies, and external collaboration scenarios


Deploy automation solutions using Power Automate and SharePoint workflows





Microsoft 365 Copilot Implementation & Governance
Lead the strategic rollout of Microsoft 365 Copilot across the organization


Configure data access policies, prompt governance, and usage monitoring


Address oversharing concerns and implement restricted search where appropriate





Security, Compliance & Risk Management
Implement and maintain conditional access policies, and multi-factor authentication


Configure Data Loss Prevention (DLP), sensitivity labels, and information protection policies





Identity & Access Management
Manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) configurations, user provisioning, and group management


Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and least-privilege principles


Manage guest access policies and external collaboration scenarios





Automation, PowerShell & Administrative Efficiency
Develop PowerShell scripts for bulk operations, reporting, and administrative automation


Create automated workflows using Power Automate for common business processes





Issue Troubleshooting Own and Guide the Managed Service Provider to resolve priority 1 and 2 tickets

SharePoint Online Site architecture, hub sites, custom development (SPFx), governance frameworks, migration across tenant



Microsoft Teams



Policy management, meeting configurations, app integrations, governance automation, Teams migration


OneDrive for Business: Sync policies, known folder move, sharing configurations, migration and adoption strategies


Microsoft 365 Groups Lifecycle management, naming policies, expiration, classification labels


Information Protection Sensitivity labels, DLP policies, encryption, rights management


Microsoft 365 Copilot Licensing requirements and prerequisites, Data access configuration and governance, Building Copilot agents, Integration with SharePoint, Teams, and Graph API


PowerShell Microsoft Graph PowerShell, Exchange Online, SharePoint PnP, Teams PowerShell modules


Power Platform Power Automate, Power Apps (basic), Power BI (reporting)


Governance & Best Practices
M365 governance frameworks and policy design


Lifecycle management and retention automation


Guest access and external sharing governance
