IMMEDIATE REQUIREMENT - MICROBIOLOGIST

packaged drinking water plant (Parle's Bailley) at Kilavallanadu, Thoothukudi.

We are urgently looking for an

experienced Microbiologist

to join our

Water Plant Quality Control & Assurance Team

. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance with FSSAI and BIS standards.

Requirements:

B.Sc./M.Sc. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry (mandatory) 3-7 years of proven experience in microbiological testing for food/beverage/water industry Strong knowledge of

IS 14543 Packaged Drinking Water Standards

Hands-on experience in water quality testing (TPC, Coliform, Yeast & Mould, Pathogen Analysis, etc.) Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and ISO procedures Ability to prepare, maintain, and document laboratory records accurately Immediate joiners preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine microbiological analysis of raw water, treated water, and finished products Perform environmental monitoring of production and storage areas Validate and maintain aseptic sampling/testing methods Ensure compliance with BIS, FSSAI, and other statutory norms Investigate quality deviations and recommend corrective actions Maintain laboratory instruments, consumables, and hygiene protocols Coordinate with Plant Manager and QA Head for quality assurance reports
