Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and oversee all microbiological testing activities in the laboratory. Plan, allocate, and monitor daily work for the microbiology team, ensuring timely completion as per TAT. Receive, review, and approve microbiological test requests as per client and regulatory requirements. Ensure all microbiological testing is performed as per NABL, ISO, and applicable regulatory standards. Review and approve raw data, calculations, and final microbiological reports before release to clients. Conduct advanced microbiological tests, culture identification, and confirmation procedures. Maintain and monitor environmental conditions in the microbiology lab as per NABL requirements. Prepare and standardize microbiological media, reagents, and reference cultures. Ensure adherence to biosafety guidelines and proper disposal of microbiological waste. Maintain calibration and preventive maintenance schedules for all microbiology instruments and equipment (incubators, autoclaves, biosafety cabinets, etc.). Train, mentor, and guide junior microbiologists and lab assistants in microbiological testing and good laboratory practices. Prepare and maintain all microbiology-related SOPs, work instructions, and quality records. Investigate non-conformities, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and maintain documentation. Coordinate with Quality Manager for internal and external audits, proficiency testing, and compliance requirements. Stay updated with new microbiological testing methods, NABL requirements, and industry best practices. Handle client queries and provide technical support related to microbiological testing. Any other work assigned by the Lab Manager / Technical Manager.
