Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled

Microbiologist

with strong knowledge of

microbiological parameters in food

and understanding of

SMALL BOLD method

(or specific microbial testing techniques as per your requirement). The candidate will be responsible for conducting microbiological testing, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and supporting quality processes.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine

microbiological analysis

of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished food products. Perform

Total Plate Count, Yeast & Mold, Coliform, Salmonella, E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus

, and other food microbiology tests. Operate laboratory instruments such as incubators, autoclaves, laminar airflow, colony counters, etc. Maintain strict hygiene and aseptic handling during sampling and testing. Ensure

documentation

, calibration records, and test reports as per

ISO, FSSAI, HACCP

requirements. Follow

Small Bold technique / specific microbiological testing protocol

(if applicable). Conduct environmental monitoring: surface swab testing, air sampling, water testing. Identify and report any deviations or contamination issues to the Quality Manager. Maintain microbial culture stock and ensure proper disposal of waste. Support audits (internal, external, FSSAI, customer audits). Develop and improve testing methods for higher accuracy and speed.

Required Skills & Knowledge

Strong understanding of

microbiological parameters in food safety

. Knowledge of

Small Bold

or similar microbial detection/testing techniques. Hands-on experience with media preparation, sterilization, incubation, and plating. Knowledge of food safety standards:

ISO 22000, FSSC, GMP, HACCP

. Good record-keeping and report preparation skills. Ability to analyze results and troubleshoot contamination issues. Strong attention to detail and good laboratory discipline.

Salary

As per company norms (based on experience & skills).

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
