We are looking for a

Microbiologist cum Finished Goods (FG) Chemist

with hands-on experience in the

personal care/cosmetics industry

. The candidate will be responsible for microbiological testing, finished goods quality control, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, bulk, finished goods, water, and environmental samples Conduct FG analysis as per approved specifications and test methods Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and cosmetic regulatory requirements Maintain microbiology lab activities including media preparation, culture handling, and documentation Carry out preservative efficacy testing (PET) and stability-related microbiological tests Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) and non-conformance issues Maintain test records, COAs, SOPs, and laboratory documentation Coordinate with QA/QC and production teams for quality-related issues Ensure calibration and upkeep of laboratory instruments
Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of microbiological testing in cosmetics/personal care products Experience in FG quality control and documentation Familiarity with GMP, ISO, and cosmetic regulatory guidelines Good analytical, reporting, and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Candidate Profile:

Experience specifically from

personal care or cosmetics manufacturing industry

Exposure to audits and regulatory inspections will be an advantage
