Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microbiologist to join our Quality Control team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the microbial quality of our raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. This is a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Microbial Testing: Conduct microbial tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, including:

- Total Plate Count (TPC)

- Yeast and Mold Count (YMC)

- Escherichia coli (E. coli)

- Salmonella

- Other pathogens as required

2. Environmental Monitoring: Perform environmental monitoring of the manufacturing facility, including:

- Air sampling

- Water sampling

- Surface sampling

3. Sterilization and Sanitization: Validate and monitor sterilization and sanitization processes, including:

- Autoclave validation

- UV light validation

- Sanitization protocols

4. Quality Control: Participate in quality control activities, including:

- Review of batch records

- Investigation of deviations and out-of-specification results

- Implementation of corrective actions

5. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including:

- FDA GMP

- USP

- EP

6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of microbial test results, environmental monitoring, and other relevant data.

7. Training and Development: Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field

- 2+ years of experience in a microbiology laboratory, preferably in a manufacturing setting

- Strong knowledge of microbiological principles and techniques

- Experience with microbial testing, environmental monitoring, and sterilization/sanitization validation

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Effective communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
