This role is not about decorative CAD alone. You will work on
micro-scale mechanical systems
--gears, linkages, springs, and motion assemblies--integrated into fine jewelry. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex engineering problems at very small scales and understands how designs behave in the real world, not just on screen.
You will collaborate closely with our design, R&D, and manufacturing teams to turn concepts into
functional, manufacturable kinetic jewelry

Key Skills & Knowledge Required
Strong proficiency in
CAD software
(Rhino, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
Solid understanding of
mechanical systems
, including:
Gears (spur, planetary, worm)
Ratchets, pawls, linkages
Spring-driven and manual winding mechanisms
Ability to design
micro-scale components
(sub-millimeter tolerances)
Understanding of
gear ratios, torque, friction, and wear
Experience creating
assemblies and exploded views
Awareness of
manufacturing constraints
, including:
Casting shrinkage
Tolerances
Polishing and assembly access
Long-term durability of moving parts
Ability to think through
assembly sequence and failure points
Comfortable iterating designs based on physical testing and feedback

Communicates clearly and can explain technical decisions logically
Backgrounds in
mechanical engineering, product design, watchmaking, robotics, or precision engineering
are highly valued.
