Job Summary:
The MICE Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and business development efforts in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) sector. The role focuses on acquiring new clients, managing key accounts, creating customized event solutions, and maximizing revenue opportunities for the hotel or venue.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
Develop and implement sales strategies to increase MICE business.
Identify and secure new MICE accounts and maintain existing client relationships.
Participate in trade shows, sales missions, and networking events to generate leads.
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for MICE clients, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
Understand client needs and customize proposals to meet event requirements.
Conduct site inspections and prepare sales presentations.
Revenue & Targets:
Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly/yearly MICE sales targets.
Work closely with the revenue and operations teams to optimize pricing and maximize profitability.
Coordination & Execution:
Collaborate with internal departments (banquets, F&B, reservations, AV, etc.) to ensure seamless event execution.
Oversee event planning details and timelines to ensure client satisfaction.
Reporting & Market Analysis:
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 0-2 years of experience in MICE or event sales, preferably in the hospitality or tourism industry.
Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing large-scale events.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
