Mgr-Store Development, Retail
Purpose/Mission
This role is responsible to manage interior buildout of Retail stores & Shop-in-Shops in mall and high-street locations as per the latest adidas standards. Use their knowledge to successfully deliver in complex environments, respond to operational challenges, and ensure workflows are in place to enable effective execution of their goals. Focus to be on Quality, Duration & Cost of fit outs as well as effective vendor management.
Key Responsibilities
Functional:

  • To implement Store Concepts in line with concept documentation prescribed by the brand.
  • To take responsibility for local store projects within the Market, including planning and coordination with various vendors to ensure quality as per adidas standards.
  • Manage cost per square meter in store openings and refits to ensure the best quality at the best price.
  • To coordinate with internal departments (Real estate, Visual merchandising, Sales team & Finance) for design, planning and implementation of new stores and refits.
  • Manage the day-to-day details of projects and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Efficient Vendor management for timely and within-budget setup of stores & Shop-in-Shops.
  • To ensure implementing of Global standard tools, processes and service.
  • To ensure compliance with legal regulations & Market's Health & Safety policy and procedures.
  • To take responsibility for the "Maintenance and Repair" function; coordination of this between Service Provider & the Store.
  • Manage & sign off all installations per market, provide documentation with required detail.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and are expected to leverage their functional expertise to support senior leaders.
  • Directly or indirectly manage 1 or 2 junior staff members
Controlling:
  • To measure progress on own KPIs
  • To report to all superiors
  • To monitor all reports
  • To monitor competitor's activities and propose/initiate/take actions by bringing new, practical ideas and solutions to your team and your manager
Professional background:
  • Functional:
8-10 years hands-on experience in setup of retail stores. * Industry: Ideally in Apparel/Fashion/Footwear
  • Leadership: Manage 1 or 2 junior staff members focusing on supporting their individual development.
  • Exposure: Retail design, Real estate, Retail store Operation & Visual Merchandizing
Educational Background:
  • University degree in Architecture( B.Arch or equivalent), Project management for the building industry, civil engineering or equivalent professional experience.
IT and Language skills
  • AUTOCAD/REVIT: Advanced
  • English: Proficient written & spoken
  • MS office: Basic
  • Excel: Advanced
  • Local language: As required
