Responsibilities We are looking for a QA & Automation Engineering Manager who has a passion for setting up and leading QA practice to deliver world-class software applications of highest quality. You will be a leader and manager in the newly formed Digital Experience and Platform COE in Bangalore and have an opportunity to be part of the growth in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will lead the Manual & Automated Testing team for Service.com and many other digital marketing applications. You will provide technical and process leadership to the quality assurance team that predominantly works on AEM based application. You will help develop automation roadmap, attract and hire best talent, mentor and develop the team members and build team’s credibility through exceptional delivery. You will be instrumental in developing and growing the India COE team by building reputation and credibility of the team. You will partner and collaborate across teams and geographies through effective technical & people leadership and thought-leadership. You will put sound processes and practices in place to execute our people, technology and capability strategy. You will ensure good quality, timely delivery and inculcate a habit of innovation. You will work closely with the Development, Product management, Agile transformation, Design and Content teams to deliver on the QA charter. You will play an instrumental role in identifying and closing the technology debt that would help improve the customer experience.

  • Build and lead a high performing team of QA engineers helping deliver enterprise-scale solutions with world-class quality
  • Define and drive the best software quality engineering, operational practices, scalable and robust automation frameworks to deliver high quality software
  • Provide Quality Assurance technical leadership to the team
  • Be a hands-on manager by getting involved in test case reviews, monitor defects, assess & improve processes, review automation frameworks, etc.
  • Establish sound processes and practices to execute our people, technology and capability strategy
  • Ensure a high level of productivity, quality, and reliability
  • Partner and collaborate with Engineering, Product and other teams in the US through effective technical & people leadership and thought-leadership
  • Manage day-to-day activities of the QA team within an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments
  • People management responsibilities – attract and hire the right talent; mentor and groom team members; provide timely developmental feedback; appreciate and celebrate wins; create a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion; manage performance appraisals, ensure good work-life balance; lead from the front and be an example, etc.
  • Imbibe the culture of ServiceNow, demonstrate the same in daily actions as a leader
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Significant experience in a technical leadership role
  • Well-rounded experience with Marketing Technology stack, SEO/SEM, Ad Technology

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
  • 12+ years of overall software QA and Testing automation experience
  • 5+ years of experience in leading QA teams as direct manager of the team
  • Strong technical expertise in Manual Testing, Automated Testing, Functional & Non-Functional testing, API & Micro-services testing, Data, Load & Performance testing
  • Strong experience in Adobe Experience Manager (Content Management System) and DAM (Digital Asset Management) and Web Technologies
  • Expertise with test automation tools like Robots, Selenium, Functionize, Python and Java
  • Expertise in tools like Jenkins, JMeter, Git Technologies, Ghost Inspector, etc.
  • Exceptional & proven people leadership experience – lead with empathy, lead & manage change, create culture of belonging-equity-inclusion, deliver with pride, attract & lead top talent
  • Experience with Agile development including daily scrum and weekly iteration reviews and planning
  • A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
  • Real passion for technology and solving deep technical problems
  • B.Tech or M.S in Computer Science or equivalent
