Position Overview :

The Statutory Audit Partner is a senior-level position within the audit practice. As a Statutory Audit Partner, you will be responsible for leading and managing the statutory audit engagements of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. You will play a critical role in building and maintaining client relationships, providing strategic guidance, and overseeing the overall quality and delivery of audit services.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage statutory audit engagements for a portfolio of clients, including planning, execution, and completion of audits.

- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and professional ethics.

- Review and assess internal controls, financial statements, and supporting documentation to provide reasonable assurance on the accuracy and fairness of the financial information.

- Identify and communicate audit findings, risks, and recommendations to clients and management, and provide guidance on improving internal controls and financial processes.

- Oversee the work of audit teams, including providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.

- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and understanding their business needs and challenges.

- Identify opportunities to provide value-added services to clients, such as advisory or consulting engagements, and collaborate with other service lines within the firm.

- Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure the firm\'s audit methodologies are in line with best practices.

- Contribute to business development efforts by participating in client proposals, presentations, and networking activities.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and professional development within the audit practice.

Qualifications and Requirements :

- Certified Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent.

- Extensive experience (typically 12+ years) in public accounting with a focus on audit, preferably in a senior management role.

- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC regulations).

- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing audit engagements, including planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality work.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to exercise professional judgment and handle complex accounting and auditing issues.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, team members, and firm leadership.

- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing audit team.

- Business acumen and the ability to understand clients\' business strategies, risks, and operational processes.

- Sound project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple engagements simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

- Commitment to professional development and staying abreast of industry trends, changes in regulations, and emerging audit methodologies and technologies.
