Manage and administer Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms across Windows/Unix environments to enable secure, reliable, and compliant data movement with internal systems and external partners. The role includes certificate and key management, workflow automation, incident troubleshooting, and tight collaboration with EHR, clinical systems, network, and security teams. Strong documentation practices and operational rigor are essential.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and administer MFT applications on Windows/Unix platforms.


Manage SSL/TLS certificates, SSH key pairs, CSRs, certificate chains, and key rotation processes.


Build and support scheduled and event-driven workflows for secure file transfers across internal/external partners.


Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or platform-specific workflow tools.


Collaborate with EHR teams, clinical systems teams, network engineers, and security teams to support integration workflows.


Document and maintain file workflows, interface specifications, transformation rules, operational support guides, and SOPs.


Troubleshoot HL7 parsing issues, malformed segments, transformation failures, and connectivity problems; perform root-cause analysis and preventive fixes.


Ensure security, compliance, and high availability of file transfer operations.

Skills

Must have


3+ years hands-on with Managed File Transfer administration (Windows/Unix).


Certificate and key management: SSL/TLS, SSH, CSRs, chains, rotation.


Automation proficiency: PowerShell, Bash, Python, or platform workflow scripting.


Experience building secure, scheduled/event-driven file transfer workflows.


Cross-team collaboration with EHR/clinical systems, network, and security.


Strong documentation across interfaces, transformations, and SOPs.


Troubleshooting of HL7 parsing, transformations, and connectivity issues.


Nice to have


Knowledge of HL7 FHIR resources, JSON, and REST API integrations.


Experience managing high-availability / clustered MFT or integration engine environments.


Exposure to AI (LLMs, Agentic AI) for automation/monitoring.
