Analyse complex customer drawings, specifications, and 3D models to define
the optimal manufacturing sequence and processes for precision aerospace
components.
2. Develop detailed manufacturing process sheets (routings) including machine
selection, tooling requirements, fixture design concepts, cutting parameters,
and inspection points
3. Develop Process plan for NPI Parts (Aero-Engine parts)
4. Part Prove-out (FAIR and PPAP)
5. APQP / PPAP (PFMEA & CP and other elements) documentation
6. Ensure zero non-conformances in NPI Development / Documentation
7. Collaborate with CNC programmers to ensure the generated programs align
with the planned processes and achieve desired part quality and efficiency
8. Provide technical guidance for optimizing machining strategies for complex
geometries and tight tolerances on 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines
9. On-Time NPI Parts Development
10. Ensure compliance to all relevant customer, legislative and technical policies
and standards
11. Ensure application of manufacturing process controls within their area of
accountability
12. Handle Audits for various customers
13. Drive a culture of zero defects within the organization and drive product right
first time.
14. Right First Time Part Prove-out - NPIs
15. Compliance to system audits - zero compliance issues.
16. General understanding of manufacturing processes; Exposure to APQP
(Advanced Product Quality Planning)
17. Exposure to Shopfloor, CNC Programming & APQP (Advanced Product
Quality Planning)
18. Responsible for developing robust manufacturing process sheets from
customer drawings and specifications, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and
cost-effectiveness.
19. Ensure all processes comply with aerospace industry standards (e.g.,
AS9100), customer-specific requirements, and internal quality procedures.
20. Ability to create and modify 3D models and generate toolpaths as needed to
support process planning.
21. Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for non-conformances and
implement corrective actions.
22. Work closely with design, quality, production, and supply chain teams to
ensure seamless execution of manufacturing plans.
23. Ensure all processes comply with aerospace industry standards (e.g.,
AS9100), customer-specific requirements, and internal quality procedures.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency
gains in manufacturing operations.
Preferred Skills:
a. Experience with specific aerospace materials (e.g., Inconel, Titanium,
Aluminium alloys).
b. Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles.
c. Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or ERP
systems.
d. Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or relevant
quality standards.
