Role Overview

The Metallurgist will oversee ore processing, recovery optimisation, and metallurgical performance of the plant to achieve targeted metal recovery rates consistently.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee metallurgical processes (crushing, grinding, concentration/beneficiation as applicable). Optimise metal recovery and minimise losses across the processing circuit. Monitor plant performance and drive process improvements based on data and testing. Conduct metallurgical testing, sampling plans, and analysis for performance tracking. Coordinate with plant operations and maintenance teams for stable operations and reduced downtime. Ensure quality control and routine metallurgical reporting to management. Support commissioning and process stabilisation where required.
Required Qualifications & Experience

B.E. / M.Tech in

Metallurgical Engineering

. 7-15 years experience in

metal processing / beneficiation

plants. Strong understanding of recovery techniques, process control, and troubleshooting. Hands-on plant-floor experience with measurable improvement outcomes. Overseas/remote site exposure preferred.
