Role Overview

We are looking for a

Metal Supervisor

to oversee the

production, fabrication, and finishing

of metal components for bespoke furniture and architectural fixtures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in

metal furniture manufacturing

, strong technical knowledge of

fabrication, welding, and finishing processes

, and the ability to lead a workshop team efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise

daily production activities

in the metal fabrication workshop. Plan and allocate work to fabricators, welders, and polishers as per the production schedule. Read and interpret

technical drawings, shop drawings, and furniture assembly details

. Monitor

fabrication, welding, grinding, polishing, and fitting

activities to ensure precision and quality. Inspect products for

dimensional accuracy, finishing quality, and adherence to design

. Coordinate with the

production engineer and design team

to clarify technical issues. Ensure

proper use and maintenance

of machines, tools, and safety equipment. Maintain

inventory and material tracking

for metal sections, sheets, and consumables. Monitor

powder coating, plating, or paint finishing

jobs when applicable. Maintain high standards of

workplace safety, discipline, and cleanliness

.

Skills & Qualifications

Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in

Mechanical / Production / Fabrication Engineering

or related field.

5+ years of experience

in

metal furniture or architectural metal fabrication industry

. Strong technical understanding of

stainless steel, mild steel, brass, and aluminum

fabrication. Knowledge of

welding techniques (TIG/MIG/Arc)

, bending, cutting, and finishing operations. Ability to read and interpret

technical and furniture fabrication drawings

. Hands-on leadership with ability to

manage a team of 10-20 shop-floor workers

. Familiarity with

powder coating, plating, and polishing processes

preferred. Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
