The Opportunity:

The Messaging Systems Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting our email systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Exchange Online, mail hygiene, Proofpoint, DKIM, SPF, SMTP mail flow, and ITSM. The Messaging Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our email infrastructure is efficient, reliable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Exchange Online infrastructure, including user mailbox creation, permissions management, and email flow monitoring. This includes providing support for end-users with issues such as mailbox access, mail flow issues, and spam filtering.
• Monitor and maintain mail hygiene solutions, including Proofpoint, to protect against spam, phishing, and malware attacks. The Messaging Engineer will also be responsible for setting up and configuring email encryption and data loss prevention policies.
• Implement and manage DKIM and SPF authentication protocols to ensure email deliverability and security. The Messaging Engineer will be responsible for maintaining DNS records and collaborating with our email service providers to ensure successful email delivery.
• Monitor SMTP mail flow, analyze email logs, and troubleshoot mail delivery issues. The Messaging Engineer will be responsible for identifying root causes of mail delivery failures and implementing solutions to prevent future issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT security, network, and system administrators to ensure email security and compliance. The Messaging Engineer will work with other teams to implement email security policies and procedures to protect our company\'s data and reputation.
• Ensure ITSM processes are followed, including incident management, problem management, and change management. The Messaging Engineer will be responsible for documenting all changes made to the email infrastructure and ensuring that they are approved through the appropriate channels.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing Exchange Online infrastructure.
• 3+ years Knowledge of mail hygiene solutions, such as Proofpoint.
• Experience with DKIM and SPF authentication protocols.
• Knowledge of SMTP mail flow and troubleshooting mail delivery issues.
• Familiarity with ITSM processes, including incident management, problem management, and change management.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Active Directory
