Exercise command over hostel messes, ensuring timely provision of meals and maintaining efficient dining hall logistics.

Manage the procurement of food items, dry stores, and non-food items, ensuring quality and cost control.

Enforce strict adherence to FSSAI and other food safety standards, oversee sanitation, pest control, waste disposal, and cleanliness.
Personnel Management:
Lead, motivate, and train mess staff, including chefs and servers, on food safety, bulk cooking, and service etiquette.
Budgeting & Cost Management:
Formulate and manage the mess budget, monitor expenditure, and control food consumption and wastage.
Student Engagement:
Address student grievances promptly, maintain goodwill, and liaise with hostel wardens and university administration to enhance satisfaction.
Compliance:
Ensure all operations comply with regulations and university standards.
Inventory Management:
Maintain robust inventory systems to avoid shortages and minimize wastage.
