Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced candidate to manage our mess services, ensuring the provision of high-quality food and beverages to our students/residents. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the mess, including menu planning, food preparation, inventory management, and staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Menu Planning: Plan and develop menus that are nutritious, appetizing, and meet the dietary requirements of students/residents.

2. Food Preparation: Oversee food preparation, ensuring that food is prepared hygienically and served in a timely manner.

3. Staff Supervision: Supervise and train mess staff, including cooks, helpers, and other support staff.

4. Quality Control: Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards, ensuring that they meet the organization's expectations.

5. Hygiene and Safety: Ensure that the mess area is maintained in a clean and safe condition, adhering to health and safety regulations.

6. Student Feedback: Gather feedback from students/residents and implement changes to improve mess services.

Requirements:

1. Education: Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Catering, or a related field.

2. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in managing mess services or a similar role.

3. Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

4. Knowledge: Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, menu planning, and inventory management.
