Introduction: The role is for experienced data and visualization lead with rich experience on Regulatory and Surveillance project implementation utilizing best policies for data management and data integration and visualization What will you be doing Responsible to ensure that the technical architecture of the solution is in line with the overall architecture strategy of DMT / EDP and is dynamic enough to scale to cover and manage all asset class across geographic region Self-Motivated to instrument best practices for Solution Development which requires understanding of Market Risk, Compliance, Trade Surveillance & Regulatory Data and through exposure of immerging technologies like Python, AWS Cloud for data extraction, data transformation, data management, reporting and visualization. Drive the Best execution strategy for Project implementation and execution across Cross asset globally Play a lead role in Design, Develop and Implement effective and efficient solutions for end to end data flow and reporting suit for Regulatory Projects Develop and execute In Premises / Cloud supported surveillance models for regulatory reporting and critical data analysis. Responsible for implementation of new EOD Reporting regulations in Europe, Americas and / or Asia Pacific, dependent on demand. Near term focus for this role will be on CAT requirements Play a lead role in Cross Asset Data modelling and design for Regulatory solutions, Trade Surveillance & Regulatory Source and Persist the Trade Surveillance & Regulatory data. Prior knowledge on regulatory reporting streams (Regulatory Reporting, RegNMS, RegSho, CAT, Mifid, BestEx reporting etc) is added advantage Analysis: Actively engaged with external business and IT partners in the requirements analysis for system enhancements and changes. Business analysis - Translate regulations into business requirements. Documentation and analysis using appropriate tools and techniques. Design: Interpret and understand functional specifications. Writing functional specifications if required. Writing technical design documents adhering to predefined standards Agile business methodology understanding is essential Design and document business processes for new world view post regulation implementations. Ensuring business users are trained accordingly. Develop: Extensive experience in Data warehouse design, development, data management and data migration and integration Extensive experience in Data warehouse design and modelling Expertise in SQL/Netezza/Unix, STAR Schema modelling and experience in Data warehouse methodologies (Kimball) Use technical expertise to extrapolate data by using ETL tools/models and leads delivery of Trade Surveillance/compliance obligations globally. Hands on development expertise and Code Quality (i.e. readable, performing and supportable) for Cloud / native database, delivering the functionality detailed in the technical specifications Experience on Reporting tools like Business Objects / Tableau / QlikView / Python in developing MIS analytics and ability to work with business to help them with their reporting ideas Hands on development of Autosys, Unix, and Perl scripts, delivering the functionality detailed in the technical specifications Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards Working with IT, Operations, Business and cross-asset colleagues to ensure coordinated Front to Back delivery Ownership of release plans and co-ordination of releases Execution - Working with global cross functional team, agree defined action plan with owners and dates and follow through to delivery. Performance Tuning: Tuning existing code to ensure acceptable application performance Review users queries to understand data access patterns and suggest enhancements to data model and/or indexing strategy Maintain and enhance conformance framework & conduct conformance testing and troubleshooting Develop and update technical documentation Quality Assurance: Conducting reviews at various quality check points and providing constructive feedback Mentoring junior members of the team Testing: Preparation of detailed unit test cases Execution of unit test cases and documentation of results Providing support during QA and UAT test phases Diagnosis and resolution of defects found during QA and UAT test phases Support regression testing - investigate output differences. Implementation: Packaging up codes for release into production On implementation of releases, provide training to support team members Post-Implementation: Point of contact for support team, investigating and resolving issues found in production Production Escalation: The role demands to provide analysis and solution when production issues/job failures are escalated to build the bank (Production Escalation to BTB) in a timely manner. Individuals will be required to provide Production escalations on rotation basis. Communication Responsibilities Communication - ensuring all key stakeholders understand project milestones, risks and issues Communicate directly with business analysts and project managers, understanding detailed business requirements at all stages of the development lifecycle Communicate effectively with business users to gain an in-depth understanding of new requirements and minor system changes Communicate effectively with the other external IT development teams and the local development manager. Work closely with global development team members in Singapore, London and New York - participating in and contributing to technical discussions. Participate and contribute in technical discussions What we\'re looking for: A bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related. Extensive Experience in Reporting Tools Tableau (Mandatory), Qlikview and Business Objects. Extensive hands-on experience on DWH, MPP DB, SQL and Unix & AWS Cloud Experience of working in a fast-paced and agile environment. Desirable to have experience of agile delivery in a data centric, regulatory environment Domain knowledge: Treasury/Risk/Finance (nice to have) Financial Services (desirable) Skills that will help you in the role: Technical Skills: An extensive grounding in software development with solid data management skills considering in premises and Cloud based environments. Extensive Experience in Reporting Tools Tableau (Mandatory), Qlikview and Business Objects. Well versed with DDL, DMLs, DCLs and Data Storage and Data Retrieval mechanism for in premises (Data Warehouse / Data Mart) and Cloud based environments. Experience working with large scale Data Warehouses and Cloud Services Extensive experience PL/SQL Development , Database design, SQL performance tuning Good understanding of Data Warehouse and Data Mart concepts with proven experience in both Ability to design and implement logical and physical data models Ability to perform effort estimation for a given piece of work. Experience with Unix (preferably Linux) Good understanding and exposure to Amazon Web Services. Good understanding for Netezza / Oracle. Hands on experience with Source Code control tools. Familiar with scheduling management technologies e.g. Autosys Experience working in Agile/Scrum development team. Preferable domain knowledge in Regulatory Reporting and Analysis. Personal & Interpersonal Skill: Able to work well with IT developers in multiple locations. Knowledge of software development \'best practices\'. Good knowledge of the software development life cycle. Analytical & Problem Solving skills - ability to investigate and resolve issues in a high-pressured environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask, Ability to train others.
