Position: MERN Stack Developer

Type: Part-time / Contract (1 Month of Probation)Location: Remote

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled

MERN Stack Developer

who can take our existing web application to completion. Most of the core functionalities are already built your primary responsibility will be to complete the remaining modules such as

AWS integration, hosting, authentication enhancements, profile management, and final deployments

.

You will work closely with the existing codebase and development team to deliver a production-ready application.

Key Responsibilities1. Backend & Frontend Development

Enhance and complete remaining features in the MERN stack project. Implement

Profile Creation and Management

module. Integrate

Authentication using OTP/Email verification

(Node.js + email/SMS provider). Ensure code quality, reusability, and performance optimization.

2. Cloud & Infrastructure

Deploy and configure the application on

AWS (EC2 / Elastic Beanstalk / S3 / CloudFront / RDS / MongoDB Atlas)

. Set up

CI/CD pipelines

(GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar). Manage server environments, environment variables, and application scaling.

3. Hosting & Deployment

Handle staging and production deployments. Implement best practices for hosting, security, backups, SSL, and domain configuration.

4. API & Database Work

Finalize API integrations and ensure secure communication. Work with

MongoDB

for CRUD operations, indexing, schema updates, and optimization.

5. Collaboration & Documentation

Work with project owners to understand feature requirements. Document code, APIs, deployment steps, and architectural decisions. Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and performance improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience in MERN stack

: React.js, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB Proficiency in

JavaScript (ES6+), REST APIs, and JWT-based authentication

Experience with

AWS services

(EC2, S3, CloudFront, Route53, IAM, SES/SNS preferred) Experience with

OTP, Email-based authentication

(Twilio, AWS SES, Firebase, etc.) Experience deploying full-stack applications to AWS or similar cloud platforms Knowledge of

Git, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines

Understanding of

responsive UI, state management, API integration

Ability to work with existing codebases Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

Experience with

Docker / containerization

Knowledge of

TypeScript

Experience with

payment gateway integrations

Understanding of

microservices

and scalable architectures UI/UX enhancement experience with Tailwind or Material UI
