Lenskart is a design-led technology company reimagining how the world sees. We are seeking a

Merchandising Leader

who seamlessly integrates aesthetic intuition with analytical rigor. You are as comfortable discussing the nuances of frame geometry and material innovation as you are analyzing complex datasets to drive inventory efficiency.


In this role, you will lead our product portfolio strategy by combining global trend forecasting with algorithmic inventory management. Beyond technical expertise, we are looking for a

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Design Curation



Trend Synthesis:

Translate global runway movements, street style, and eyewear innovations into commercially viable collections that resonate with Lenskart's diverse customer base.

Aesthetic Governance:

Define the visual standards for our assortment, ensuring every SKU--from minimalist titanium to bold acetate--aligns with our brand identity.

Assortment Architecture:

Curate "Store Stories" that balance experimental, high-fashion pieces that build brand equity with the high-volume essentials that drive core revenue.

2. Data-Driven Merchandising



Predictive Modeling:

Move beyond traditional retail intuition by building data-backed assortment frameworks. Use historical sell-through and customer behavior data to predict the success of new silhouettes.

Inventory Precision: Build for precision

using advanced analytics to ensure capital is deployed into high-velocity designs, maximizing turnover.

Pricing Strategy:

Analyze price elasticity and regional demand to optimize margins while maintaining Lenskart's commitment to value.

3. People Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership



Team Development:

Build, mentor, and inspire a world-class merchandising team. Foster a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous learning.

Stakeholder Synergy:

Act as the strategic glue between

Design, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Retail Ops.

You will translate design aspirations into supply chain requirements and retail realities.

Change Management:

Lead the organization through the transition toward more automated, tech-heavy merchandising processes, ensuring buy-in across all levels of the business.

Scalability Mindset:

Design processes and frameworks that aren't just for today, but for a Lenskart that is 10x its current size.

Leadership:

Navigate the nuances o different markets, adapting our core product DNA to local cultural preferences while maintaining brand consistency.

Design Expertise:

A strong background in Design, Product Design, or Creative Direction. You can instinctively evaluate the ergonomics and aesthetics of a prototype.

Analytical Proficiency:

You are a data-driven decision-maker, comfortable using SQL, BI tools, or advanced Excel to interrogate data and find the "why" behind trends.

Strategic Leadership:

10+ years of experience, including significant time leading large teams in high-growth environments. You have a proven track record of developing talent and navigating cross-functional complexities. *
