Key Responsibilities:

Buyer Communication & Relationship Management:

Serve as the main liaison between international/local buyers and the manufacturing facility. Communicate order status, clarify requirements, and address any issues promptly.

Product Development & Sampling:

Receive buyer specifications and design packs. Coordinate with the design and sampling departments to develop samples (e.g., lab dips, print strike-offs) for buyer approval, managing feedback and revisions.

Costing & Negotiation:

Prepare detailed cost sheets, negotiate pricing with buyers and raw material suppliers (yarn, fabric, inks, specific label materials), and work to maximize profitability.

Sourcing & Inventory Management:

Source and procure necessary raw materials, trims, and accessories. Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for production while preventing overstock situations.

Order Planning & Execution:

Prepare and issue internal order sheets and purchase orders (POs) to relevant departments and suppliers. Create and maintain a Time and Action (TNA) calendar to schedule and track all critical stages of production.

Production Monitoring & Quality Control:

Constantly monitor the production process to ensure it adheres to buyer specifications and quality standards. Coordinate with the quality control team for in-process and final inspections.

Logistics & Documentation:

Coordinate with the packing and shipping departments to ensure orders are packed correctly and shipped on time. Oversee necessary documentation and banking formalities for smooth export.

Market Analysis:

Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and new label technologies to provide input for product innovation and pricing strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field. Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in merchandising within the textile, garment, or trims/accessories industry. In-depth knowledge of textile materials, label production processes (weaving, printing, finishing), and quality control procedures. Strong analytical and mathematical skills for costing and inventory management. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective internal and external correspondence. Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with inventory or ERP systems. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
