Job Summary

BDS Retail Group is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented

Merchandiser

to manage inventory planning, sales analysis, and stock reporting across multiple locations. The role requires strong coordination with stores and frequent travel to ensure effective stock control and accurate reporting.

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is mandatory

for this position.

Key ResponsibilitiesInventory & Stock Management

Monitor and manage inventory levels across stores and warehouses. Plan stock allocation, replenishment, inter-store transfers, and stock balancing. Track slow-moving, non-moving, and fast-moving stock and recommend corrective actions. Conduct stock verification, reconciliation, and variance analysis during store visits.

Sales & MIS Reporting

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly

sales, stock, and inventory MIS reports

. Analyze sales trends, sell-through, stock aging, and category-wise performance. Share actionable insights with management to support sales growth and stock optimization.

Advanced Excel & Data Analysis

Create and maintain

advanced Excel dashboards and trackers

. Use advanced Excel functions including

Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, IF, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, conditional formatting, charts, and data validation

. Automate MIS reports to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.

Store Coordination & Travel

Travel extensively to stores for stock planning, verification, and coordination. Work closely with store managers and operations teams to ensure optimal inventory levels. Support new store openings, promotions, and seasonal merchandise planning.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Graduate in any discipline (MBA / Retail / Supply Chain preferred).

2-5 years of experience

in merchandising, inventory planning, or retail operations.

Strong and advanced working knowledge of MS Excel is mandatory.

Experience handling large data sets and preparing MIS reports. Willingness and ability to travel extensively as per business requirements.
