Duties & Responsibilities

Strong ability to handle fabric right from development/sampling yardages to bulk production. Sourcing & Estimation of Fabric Cost negotiations Understanding of EMAIL fabric development request, comments to provide the right set of fabric the first time Routine rigorous follow-up of Fabric with the mills & supplier to maintain the Delivery Schedule as per Garment Delivery Coordinating with the Testing labs & make sure the fabric meets all test requirements of the specified buyer. Vast exposure in various fabric processing, structure analysis, blends, Estimation of fabric cost right from yarn price, dyeing, weaving & finishing. Identifying, Evaluating the suppliers, and placing orders with the right supplier Meeting Sample yardage and bulk deadlines Ability to manage fabric of various categories within the brand and communicate with our international stakeholders daily over email Ready to Visit mills as and when work demands. Maintaining weekly development and bulk status charts Allocating developments with the right mills and follow up Strong in analyzing fabric specifications, color, quality, defects, etc. Be a solution provider and good at troubleshooting during bulk execution. Controlling bulk fabric issues with mills /vendors and avoiding delays due to fabric Monthly ppt presentation to stakeholders internal and international about developments, sourcing updates, goal status Maintaining all Sustainable records or documents in PLM, database, follow up on expiry Get and follow testing of new development and bulk with follow up Good in maintaining teamwork, and team spirit, able to work with cross-functional team holders

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

B.Tech / M. Tech in Textile technology (or) Diploma in Textile with good years of experience in Export brand offices - overall 10 years and above experience. Technical knowledge of various Knitted fabric analysis Excellent knowledge of fabric sourcing Fabric price negotiations Color management Knowledge of fabric quality/testing Good at troubleshooting Communication skills with suppliers and international stakeholders Presentation skill - ppt, advanced excel, etc. Excellent follow-up with suppliers to meet deliverables Data management Excellent team work
