Job Title: Merchandiser - Pants & Trousers Specialist

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Merchandiser specialized in Pants and Trousers to manage end-to-end merchandising activities. The candidate should have strong knowledge of bottom wear construction, fabrics, fits, trims, and production processes, and should be able to coordinate efficiently with buyers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Handle end-to-end merchandising for pants and trousers from order confirmation to final shipment

Understand buyer requirements related to fit, styling, fabric, wash, and construction

Coordinate with design, sampling, production, quality, and sourcing teams

Manage sampling (proto, fit, size set, pre-production) and ensure approvals on time

Source and follow up on fabrics, trims, and accessories

Track production timelines, T&A calendars, and delivery schedules

Ensure quality standards and compliance with buyer specifications

Communicate with buyers/vendors regarding order status, changes, and approvals

Maintain proper documentation, order sheets, and reports

Required Skills & Knowledge

Strong expertise in pants & trousers (men's/women's or both)

Good knowledge of:

Bottom wear patterns, measurements, grading, and fitting issues

Woven fabrics (cotton, twill, denim, blends, stretch, etc.)

Wash processes (enzyme, garment wash, etc. - if applicable)

Ability to read and understand tech packs

Good coordination and follow-up skills

Strong communication skills (written & verbal)

Proficient in Excel and basic reporting

Qualification

Graduate / Diploma in Fashion, Garment Technology, or related field

Experience

3-6 years of relevant experience as a Merchandiser - Bottom Wear / Pants & Trousers

Preferred Candidate

Hands-on experience in pants & trousers only (core specialization)

Experience working with domestic or export buyers

Detail-oriented, proactive, and deadline-driven

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
