About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented

Apparel Merchandiser

to manage the end-to-end merchandising process for

sarees, ethnic wear, and dresses

. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of fashion trends, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to balance creativity with commercial understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, develop, and execute merchandising strategies for sarees and dresses to meet sales, margin, and inventory goals. Coordinate with designers, vendors, and suppliers for product development, sampling, and timely production. Monitor fashion trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity to create appealing assortments. Track inventory levels, stock rotations, and product performance to optimize sales. Collaborate with retail and marketing teams for product launches, visual displays, and promotions. Prepare seasonal range plans and maintain pricing, margin, and cost sheets. Ensure quality checks, fabric sourcing, and color coordination meet brand standards. Handle vendor negotiations, purchase orders, and delivery follow-ups.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Design, Textile, or related field. 2-5 years of experience as a Merchandiser in apparel retail--preferably ethnic wear, sarees, or women's dresses. Strong product knowledge of fabrics, embroidery, and garment construction. Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills. Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory/ERP systems. Eye for design aesthetics and current fashion trends.
