Job Summary

As a Junior Merchandiser, you will ensure the right products are available at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the right price. You will maintain product displays, track stock levels, and analyse basic sales data to support store or online profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Management:

Monitor warehouse and shelf inventory, restocking products and identifying gaps to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.

Visual Merchandising:

Execute store layouts and window displays according to brand guidelines and planograms to attract customers.

Data Reporting:

Generate regular reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as sales figures, inventory turnover, and sell-through rates.

Vendor Coordination:

Assist in order follow-up with suppliers, maintaining records of fabric, trims, or other materials to ensure production timelines are met.

Market Analysis:

Assist in researching top fashion or product trends and monitoring competitor pricing and activities.

Promotional Support:

Support the implementation of seasonal campaigns, markdowns, and in-store promotions.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion, or Retail Management is often preferred. High school diploma or GED is the minimum requirement for many entry-level roles.

Experience:

0-2 years of experience in retail, stocking, or merchandising. Internships in fashion or retail are highly valued for freshers.

Analytical Skills:

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, data entry) and an ability to interpret sales data.

Technical Knowledge:

Familiarity with planogram software or inventory management systems is an advantage.

Communication:

Strong verbal and written English skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
