The Role
The role of the Merchandiser is to have responsibility for maintaining the timelines agreed on production orders and to make sure that goods are delivered within those action plans as per company quality levels. Working with cross functional teams such as PD, Technical, Quality control, UK Head office merchandisers, vendors and logistics the successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth order processing, garment production, quality control process and the final dispatch.
You Will
Manage orders with vendors to ensure on time delivery with strict adherence to critical path planning
Communicate with HQ teams to ensure they have supplier performance insights necessary to manage business expectations and product delivery
Visit factories and/or processing centers, as required and feeding back any challenge in handover summaries to the UK office
Track pre-production and shipment samples closely and make sure samples are received in good time
Ensure factories have all required testing reports and inspections completed in good time and are approved prior to shipment
Manage the product development process with suppliers ensuring sample lead-times are met, and costings are received, in line with the buying calendar
Liaise with internal departments such as Design, Garment Tech, QC, Logistics and Finance to support supplier performance targets.
Liaise with logistics and suppliers to ensure that shipment bookings are made in accordance to agreed handover dates through CEVA
Manage and develop assistant merchandisers and work as an efficient and effective team with a solution-oriented approach.
Organize, maintain up to date critical paths and process data accurately during the factory visits.
Manage Organic trackers and ensure TC1 and TC2 are in place.
Negotiate prices & maintain an open costing system to achieve most competitive prices - Negotiate MOQ and provide alternative solution like fabric sharing, club future season style, negotiate on surcharge.
Manage resourcing through critical path across region to ensure timely delivery includes design packs sharing, tracking counters,etc.
Keep track on liability stock to ensure business is updated about the current stock to use for MFO.
Sharing the buys with supplier and confirming delivery dates within 3 days SLA and upload on the UK system with strategic planning to maximum utilize supplier capacity and meet the deliveries for Superdry customers.
OTIF Management - Seasonal
Compliance report (Delay Debit) -Every week need to be reviewed and raised with supplier. Collate the monthly data in sharing file with UK with suggestive measures.

Currently at a senior level with market brands
Clear understanding of CP and supplier management within retail business.
Strong negotiator
Capable of leading a regional team
A problem solver with skills in a production environment
Aware of the open costing process
Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and written in English. Self-motivated and able to work under pressure and be focused
A mulitasker and can handle high volumes of data, analyse and report on it. S
An advanced user of MS Office suite, in particular Excel as well as word processing.
Sound knowledge of apparel / footwear / accessories. An understanding of materials and wet processing is highly desirable
Highly organized and good at planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organization goals
Articulate and credible, with excellent communication skills to allow you to present recommendations on buys and capacity management
Confident to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
