Oversee the end-to-end product development process for woven shirts, from initial concept to final buyer approval.
Collaborate closely with design, sampling, and technical teams to ensure timely and accurate development.
Review tech packs, prototypes, and fit samples to ensure alignment with buyer specifications.
Ensure timely sourcing of fabrics, trims, and accessories while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness.

Vendor & Supplier Management
Identify and manage reliable suppliers and manufacturing partners specializing in woven shirts.
Negotiate costs, lead times, and commercial terms with vendors to meet business goals.
Ensure vendors adhere to quality standards, compliance requirements, and on-time delivery.
3.
Order Management
Manage the complete lifecycle of buyer orders--from order confirmation to final shipment.
Maintain and monitor T&A (Time and Action) calendars and production schedules to ensure timely delivery.
Prepare and update order tracking reports and critical path documents.
4.
Costing & Pricing
Prepare detailed cost sheets for samples and bulk production.
Collaborate with sourcing and production teams to ensure pricing aligns with margin targets.
Present cost breakdowns to buyers and negotiate pricing with suppliers as needed.
5.
Buyer Communication
Serve as the primary liaison between buyers and internal teams for all woven shirt programs.
Provide regular updates on sample development, approvals, production progress, and shipment schedules.
Manage buyer feedback and resolve any issues or clarifications promptly and professionally.
6.
Team Management
Lead and mentor a team of junior merchandisers and merchandising assistants.
Assign tasks, monitor individual performance, and provide ongoing guidance and support.
Ensure the team adheres to documentation processes and company merchandising protocols.
7.
Quality Assurance
Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure products meet buyer specifications and quality benchmarks.
Oversee approvals of lab dips, strike-offs, and fabric testing reports.
Proactively address any product or quality issues and resolve buyer concerns.
8.
Market & Trend Analysis
Stay informed about current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market developments in woven shirts.
Offer insights and recommendations for new product development and merchandising strategies.
Key Skills & Competencies
In-depth knowledge of woven fabrics, garment construction, trims, and finishing.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Expertise in T&A planning, costing, production tracking, and buyer engagement.
Understanding of export/import logistics and compliance (if applicable).
Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and merchandising tools/software.
