Hiring for Merchandiser - Handicrafts & Hard Goods

About the Role

We are hiring a

Merchandiser

with expertise in

handicrafts and hard goods

made from

metal, wood, marble, felt, ceramic, and lakh

. The role involves managing

home decor, kitchenware, tabletop, and seasonal products

(Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's, Fall) for international buyers. You will handle the complete merchandising cycle, from product development and costing to production follow-ups and final shipments cycles for international markets.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the link between buyers and internal teams (design, production, quality). Manage product development, sampling, costing, and order execution. Coordinate with design teams to develop new products based on trends and buyer requirements. Handle buyer communication, feedback, and approvals. Negotiate costs, prepare costing sheets, and ensure timely deliveries. Follow up on production, packaging, dispatch, and quality control. Maintain records of samples, orders, and shipment schedules. Research trends and competitor products to suggest new designs. Manage supplier coordination for raw materials, packaging, and accessories.

Requirements

Graduate/Postgraduate in Merchandising, Business Administration, or related field. 3-5 years' experience as a

Merchandiser in an export house

(handicrafts/hard goods preferred). Strong knowledge of

materials: metal, wood, marble, felt, ceramic, lakh

. Excellent communication, costing, and buyer-handling skills. Ability to manage multiple orders and meet deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
