The MEP Store Keeper / Time Keeper is responsible for managing MEP materials and inventory while also maintaining accurate workforce time, attendance, and manpower records at site. The role ensures proper material control, timely availability of MEP items, and accurate labor tracking to support project execution and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
A. MEP Store Keeper Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify MEP materials (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, HVAC) against delivery notes and purchase orders.
Maintain proper storage, labeling, and identification of MEP materials in the store.
Issue materials to site teams based on approved material requisitions.
Keep accurate records of material receipts, issues, balances, and returns.
Maintain stock registers (manual and/or software-based) and update daily.
Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and inform management of shortages.
Coordinate with procurement and site engineers for timely material availability.
Conduct periodic stock checks and assist in physical inventory audits.
Ensure safe storage practices and compliance with HSE requirements.
Prevent material damage, loss, or misuse.
B. Time Keeper Responsibilities
Maintain daily attendance records of site manpower (staff, technicians, and labor).
Record working hours, overtime, leave, and absenteeism accurately.
Prepare daily manpower reports and submit to site management.
Coordinate with supervisors and foremen to verify attendance and work allocation.
Assist in preparation of weekly and monthly timesheets.
Support payroll by providing accurate time and attendance data.
Maintain records of new joiners, demobilized staff, and transferred workers.
Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
Skills & Competencies
Good knowledge of MEP materials and construction site operations.
Basic understanding of inventory control and store management.
Familiarity with attendance systems, timesheets, and reporting formats.
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a site environment.
Qualifications
Diploma or certificate in Mechanical/Electrical/Construction or related field preferred.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in MEP store keeping and/or timekeeping in construction projects.
Knowledge of ERP or inventory software is an advantage.
Working Conditions

May require extended working hours depending on project requirements.
