Key Responsibilities:Procurement & Sourcing
Review
MEP drawings, BOQs, and material specifications
received from the design/engineering team.
Identify, evaluate, and finalize
vendors/subcontractors
for MEP materials and services.
Obtain
quotations
, prepare
comparative statements
, and negotiate
price, delivery, and payment terms
.
Issue
purchase orders (POs)
in line with project requirements and company procedures.
Track
material delivery schedules
and ensure timely supply to project sites.
Coordinate with vendors for
samples, mock-ups, and technical submittals
for client approval.
Vendor & Coordination
Maintain and update
vendor database
with approved MEP suppliers.
Work closely with
Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Design Teams
for accurate material forecasting.
Follow up with
logistics and site teams
for receipt, inspection, and documentation of materials.
Resolve
quality, delivery, or billing discrepancies
with vendors.
Cost & Documentation Control
Ensure procurement within
approved project budgets
.
Maintain records of
inquiries, quotations, POs, GRNs, and invoices
.
Prepare regular
procurement status reports
and update management on material tracking.
Support management in
cost optimization
and alternate material sourcing.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of
MEP materials, vendors, and technical specifications.
Excellent
negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
Proficiency in
MS Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Spine, Tally ERP, etc.)
Understanding of
MEP systems
(HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing).
Ability to multitask and handle procurement for multiple projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
