Position - MEP Manager

Job location - Kelambakkam/Padur

We are seeking a skilled and experienced MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Manager to join our apartment construction company. As a MEP Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the MEP systems in our construction projects, from design and installation to testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the MEP design process, including developing design drawings, specifications, and equipment schedules

Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that MEP systems are integrated with the overall building design

Review and approve MEP shop drawings and submittals from contractors and subcontractors

Manage MEP contractors and subcontractors to ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards of quality

Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address issues or concerns related to MEP systems

Develop and implement testing and commissioning plans for MEP systems to ensure that they are operating as intended

Provide technical support and guidance to project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders on MEP issues

Manage MEP project budgets and schedules

Ensure that all necessary permits, licenses, and inspections are obtained and completed

Provide regular progress updates to clients and senior management

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field

At least 10 years of experience in MEP design and construction, with a focus on high rise residential apartment or multi storage buildings

Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software

Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to MEP systems

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
