Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented

MEP Interior Design Engineer

to join our dynamic design team. The role requires extensive experience in integrating

MEP services (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)

within

interior fit-out projects

for commercial, residential, and industrial spaces. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring technical accuracy, design coordination, space optimization, and code compliance across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Engineering:

Develop, review, and validate MEP layout designs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting) for interior projects in coordination with architectural and structural elements. Optimize space planning by effectively integrating MEP services within ceiling voids, partitions, raised floors, and wall systems without compromising interior aesthetics. Ensure compliance with local and international codes, standards, and client specifications during the design phase.

Coordination & Collaboration:

Coordinate closely with architects, interior designers, and civil engineers to ensure seamless service integration. Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and vendors to resolve design challenges and technical conflicts. Lead or participate in design coordination meetings and BIM reviews.

Documentation & Technical Support:

Prepare detailed engineering drawings, BOQs, specifications, and equipment schedules for tendering and execution. Provide technical guidance to site execution teams during installation and commissioning. Support project managers with timely submission of technical documents and revisions.

Compliance & Innovation:

Implement sustainable and energy-efficient design practices in line with green building standards. Keep updated with the latest trends and technologies in MEP systems and interior materials.

Candidate Profile:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field. Postgraduate certification in Interior Design, Building Services, or Sustainability (preferred).

Experience:

4-8 years of proven experience in MEP design for interior fit-out projects in multinational or high-end commercial environments.

Technical Proficiency:

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (MEP) and other relevant design and simulation tools.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong coordination and interdisciplinary understanding of MEP and interior design. Excellent attention to detail, spatial awareness, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and reporting skills.

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
