MEP HEAD JD

overseeing the planning, design, and execution of MEP systems in construction projects. Key responsibilities include managing project timelines and budgets, ensuring compliance with regulations, coordinating with architects and contractors, and providing technical leadership to the team. The role requires strong leadership to serve as the main point of contact between the client and delivery teams, and to make strategic decisions for the project's success.

Key responsibilities

Project leadership

: Act as the single focal point between the client, consultants, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.

Project management

: Plan, manage, and execute multiple MEP projects, overseeing timelines, budgets, and resources.

Design and compliance

: Lead the MEP design team and ensure all designs comply with codes, standards, and safety regulations.

Coordination

: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate MEP systems into the overall project plan.

Quality control

: Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and adherence to design criteria.

Technical guidance

: Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and resolve on-site engineering issues.

Required skills and experience

Extensive experience in planning, designing, and implementing MEP systems.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering principles.

Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.

Ability to read and interpret design documents, specifications, and drawings.

Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage diverse stakeholders.

Experience in value engineering is often required.
