Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Estimation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the estimation and design processes, contributing to the development of innovative engineering solutions. This position requires a strong mechanical knowledge base, proficiency in various engineering software, and the ability to analyse complex systems.

Duties

Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify issues and propose effective solutions. Utilise Simulink and MATLAB for system modelling and simulation tasks. Design and implement control systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in design specifications. Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and CAD software. Develop schematics for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system design and integration efforts. Perform testing and validation of designs using LabVIEW to ensure functionality and reliability.

Requirements

Proven experience in estimation engineering or a related field. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems. Proficiency in Simulink, MATLAB, SolidWorks, CAD, LabVIEW, and PLC programming. Familiarity with GD&T principles is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual tasks effectively. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information clearly.
