Job Title: MEP Engineer (Civil Projects)

Location: Hyderabad

Job Summary

The MEP Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works in coordination with civil construction activities to ensure timely completion, quality compliance, and cost control of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate MEP works with civil, architectural, and structural teams at site Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, BOQs, and specifications Supervise installation of HVAC, electrical, firefighting, fire alarm, plumbing, and drainage systems Ensure MEP works are executed as per approved drawings, standards, and project schedules Identify clashes between MEP and civil works and resolve them proactively Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and vendors Monitor material approvals, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory norms, and quality requirements Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and attend coordination meetings Support billing, measurement, and certification of MEP works Assist in handover documentation and as-built drawings
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering 3-8 years of experience in MEP execution for residential, commercial, or industrial projects Strong knowledge of MEP systems and coordination with civil works
Skills & Competencies

Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications Knowledge of IS codes, NBC, fire norms, and local regulations Proficiency in AutoCAD (basic BIM knowledge preferred) Strong coordination and communication skills Problem-solving and time-management abilities
Preferred Experience

High-rise buildings, commercial complexes, or large residential projects Experience in site execution and contractor management
