Job Summary

The MEP Civil Engineer is responsible for coordinating and executing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), and associated civil works at project sites. The role ensures that all MEP and civil activities are completed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key ResponsibilitiesMEP Coordination

Supervise and coordinate MEP works (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting) with civil and architectural activities. Review MEP drawings, BOQs, and specifications for accuracy and feasibility. Ensure proper installation as per approved shop drawings and standards. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors for MEP execution.

Civil Works

Monitor civil construction activities related to MEP integration (shafts, sleeves, openings, trenches). Ensure correct levels, alignments, and structural provisions for MEP services. Assist in site measurements and preparation of RA bills.

Quality & Safety

Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety norms, and statutory regulations. Conduct inspections and ensure rectification of defects. Maintain quality checklists and test reports.

Project Execution

Track progress and report daily/weekly site status to the Project Manager. Support planning, scheduling, and coordination to meet deadlines. Attend site meetings and prepare MOMs when required.

Documentation

Maintain as-built drawings, test reports, and completion documents. Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (MEP exposure mandatory). 2-6 years of experience in MEP and civil coordination for commercial/residential projects. Good knowledge of MEP systems, construction practices, and site execution.

Skills Required

Strong coordination and communication skills Ability to read and interpret drawings Knowledge of safety and quality standards Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (preferred)
