Job Title: MEP Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)Job Summary

The MEP Engineer is responsible for the design, coordination, implementation, and maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in building and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that all MEP systems are designed and executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

Design and review mechanical (HVAC), electrical, and plumbing systems. Prepare MEP drawings, layouts, calculations, and technical specifications. Ensure designs comply with local authority regulations, international codes, and project standards. Coordinate MEP designs with architectural and structural disciplines.

Project Execution & Coordination

Supervise MEP installation works on-site. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers. Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements. Monitor progress to ensure adherence to schedule, quality, and budget.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

Inspect and test MEP systems during and after installation. Support commissioning activities and performance testing. Prepare as-built drawings, operation manuals, and handover documents.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and site safety practices. Conduct inspections and audits to maintain quality standards. Identify and resolve technical issues during design and construction.

Maintenance & Operations (if applicable)

Support troubleshooting and maintenance of MEP systems. Recommend system upgrades or efficiency improvements.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering. 3-10 years of relevant experience (depending on seniority). Experience in construction projects, building services, or facilities management. Professional certification (PE, CEng, LEED, PMP) is an advantage.
