Job Description

Position Title: MEP Engineer for Plumbing and Fire Fighting

Job Summary: As an MEP Engineer for Plumbing and Fire Fighting, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and supervising MEP projects related to plumbing and fire fighting systems. You will work closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed within budget, timelines, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop MEP plans, drawings, and specifications for plumbing and fire fighting systems

Review and analyze project requirements, and ensure that design and engineering deliverables meet project goals and objectives

Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, and oversee the implementation of plumbing and fire fighting systems

Coordinate with contractors and other stakeholders during construction and installation of plumbing and fire fighting systems

Conduct regular site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design, engineering, and safety standards

Review and approve contractor submittals, and ensure that all materials and equipment meet project specifications and requirements

Monitor project progress and budget, and provide regular updates to project teams and management

Provide technical support and assistance during project commissioning and testing

Prepare and present project reports, progress updates, and other technical documentation to stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Plumbing Engineering

Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP design and engineering for plumbing and fire fighting systems

Strong knowledge of plumbing and fire fighting systems design, engineering, and installation

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP design software

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to plumbing and fire fighting systems
