Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret MEP design drawings and technical specifications. Coordinate MEP works with architectural, structural, and civil teams to avoid clashes and ensure integrated execution. Supervise the installation of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire fighting, and low current systems. Liaise with consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of MEP systems. Verify and ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and sustainability requirements (e.g., LEED, Estidama, etc.). Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure proper installation and functioning of all MEP systems. Manage MEP shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and approvals. Assist in cost estimation, procurement, and technical evaluation of MEP-related materials and equipment. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation related to MEP activities. Lead MEP testing and commissioning phases to ensure systems are fully functional before handover. Maintain and update project documentation including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering. Minimum 6 years of experience in MEP engineering within the real estate or construction industry. Strong knowledge of MEP design standards, codes (e.g., NFPA, ASHRAE, DEWA, etc.), and local authority regulations. Hands-on experience with project coordination, site supervision, and MEP troubleshooting. Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Project, and relevant engineering software. Good understanding of sustainability practices and energy-efficient systems is a plus. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
