Key Roles:

Managing MEP Projects

: Oversee multiple MEP systems (like electrical, plumbing, HVAC) to ensure projects run smoothly, on time, and on budget.

Cost Estimates

: Calculate costs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other MEP systems, including materials, labor, and time.

Supervising Contractors

: Ensure contractors follow specifications and meet deadlines.

Coordinating with Teams

: Work with architects, engineers, and contractors to make sure MEP systems match the design and structural plans.

Providing Technical Advice

: Offer expert advice on MEP system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Resolving Design Issues

: Suggest solutions when designs need to be adjusted due to site conditions or coordination challenges.

Health & Safety

: Ensure health and safety standards are followed on-site to keep workers safe.

Off-Site Inspections

: Inspect materials and equipment off-site to ensure they meet quality and regulatory standards.

Validating Designs

: Review and suggest improvements to MEP designs based on real-world conditions.

Coordinating Materials and Drawings

: Make sure MEP materials, systems, and shop drawings are ready for installation.

Key Skills:

MEP System Knowledge

: Understanding how mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems work.

Analytical Skills

: Ability to analyze problems and find the best solutions.

Communication

: Explain technical details clearly to different teams (contractors, engineers, clients).

AutoCAD

: Use AutoCAD for reviewing or creating technical drawings.

Building Codes

: Ensure designs and installations meet local building codes and standards.

Construction Knowledge

: Understand practical aspects of construction to make sure designs are feasible.
