Job Description

We are looking for an experienced

MEP Designer

with strong knowledge of

Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems

in interior fit-out projects for commercial spaces. The candidate will be responsible for preparing MEP layouts, coordinating with design & site teams, performing load calculations, and ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities1. Design & Drafting

Prepare detailed

MEP drawings

(Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) using AutoCAD. Develop layouts including: HVAC layout and duct routing Electrical layout (lighting, power, data, CCTV, access control) Plumbing layout (water supply, drainage, sewage) Fire-fighting layout (sprinkler, hydrant, detection systems) Modify drawings based on client, consultant, and site team feedback.

2. Calculations & Technical Analysis

Conduct load calculations for: HVAC tonnage Electrical load distribution Fire safety calculations Ensure compliance with NBC, local building codes, safety norms, and statutory requirements.

3. Coordination & Site Support

Coordinate design requirements with architects, interior designers, PMC, and contractors. Review and approve vendor/shop drawings for MEP systems. Conduct site visits to ensure proper execution as per design intent. Resolve MEP-related technical issues at site.

4. Material & Vendor Coordination

Prepare MEP BOQs and technical specifications. Assist in selecting equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, lighting fixtures, cables, panels, pumps, and valves. Coordinate with suppliers for product samples, data sheets, and quotations.

5. Compliance & Documentation

Ensure all MEP designs follow quality standards, safety norms, and project guidelines. Maintain proper documentation for drawings, revisions, approvals, and as-built layouts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.

2-6 years

of experience in

interior fit-out MEP designing

(corporate offices preferred). Strong proficiency in

AutoCAD

and understanding of MEP services. Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, ELV systems, and plumbing networks. Ability to read architectural and structural drawings. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Experience with

Revit / BIM

(added advantage). Understanding of energy-efficient systems and green building concepts. Experience working with MEP consultants and statutory bodies.

Pay: ?11,225.21 - ?44,555.67 per month
