Job Description

Job Purpose

To design and develop Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for corporate interior fit-out projects, ensuring functionality, efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with local codes and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Development

Prepare detailed MEP design drawings (HVAC, electrical, fire-fighting, plumbing, LV systems) for corporate office fit-outs. Conduct load calculations, equipment sizing, and system design in line with project requirements. Develop technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.

2. Coordination

Work closely with architects, interior designers, structural engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems. Coordinate with consultants and vendors for technical clarifications and value engineering options. Review shop drawings and coordinate with contractors for execution feasibility.

3. Technical Review & Compliance

Ensure designs comply with

NBC, ASHRAE, IS codes, local statutory requirements, and corporate standards

. Incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable design principles. Validate equipment and material selections as per project needs.

4. Execution Support

Provide technical support to the site team during execution of MEP works. Review as-built drawings and support testing & commissioning activities. Resolve design/site discrepancies with practical engineering solutions.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and maintain design documentation, approvals, and revision logs. Support statutory submissions and NOC approvals for electrical, fire, and HVAC systems. Provide regular design progress updates to management and clients.

Skills & Competencies

Strong technical knowledge of

HVAC, Electrical, Fire-Fighting, Plumbing & LV systems

. Proficiency in

AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), Dialux, and MS Office

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent coordination and communication abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering. 4-8 years of experience in MEP design engineering for interior fit-out projects (corporate offices preferred). Hands-on experience in preparing design drawings, load calculations, and BOQ preparation.
