About the Role



Dementia India Alliance (DIA) is looking for an experienced and committed

Dementia Care Trainer

to support its training and capacity-building initiatives. The role involves

delivering structured dementia care training

, developing

local-language training content

, maintaining documentation, and participating in

community outreach and screening activities

as required.

This position is ideal for professionals with a background in

nursing, social work, mental health, or rehabilitation

, who are comfortable working across

training rooms, community settings, and partner institutions

.

Key Responsibilities



Conduct

dementia care training sessions

for caregivers, healthcare workers, and community stakeholders as per approved guidelines Build and adapt

training content, presentations, and materials

in local languages Maintain

training records

, attendance, assessments, certifications, and related documentation Coordinate with

outreach and partner organisations

to plan and deliver local training programs Support

monitoring, evaluation, and reporting

of training activities Participate flexibly in

community outreach, awareness programs, and screening activities

, when required Travel to training and outreach locations as per project needs

Qualifications & Experience



MSc Nursing / MSW (Medical & Psychiatry) / MSc Psychology / MPT

2-3 years of relevant experience

, preferably in training, capacity building, or facilitation roles Experience in

geriatric care, dementia care, or mental health training

will be an added advantage

Skills & Competencies



Strong

training delivery and facilitation skills

Ability to

develop and present training content

clearly and effectively Proficiency in

two or more South Indian languages

(Kannada and two south Indian language mandatory) Good

documentation and reporting skills (Technologically Proficient especially in basic digital tools)

Willingness to

travel

and work in diverse community and institutional settings Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
