The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Member Technical Staff to join our team within athenaIDX team. The role of QA engineers involves designing, implementing, and executing test plans, test cases, and automated tests to identify defects in software applications, ensuring that the end product is both functional and user-friendly. Their primary responsibility is to catch bugs or issues early in the development process, which helps improve the overall user experience and reduce the cost of post-release fixes. Deliver customer value in the form of high-quality software components and services in adherence with RPR policies on Security, performance, longevity and Integration testing.
Position Summary:
IDX business is looking for an experienced QA Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products by identifying defects, conducting tests, and validating that the software functions as expected. Your role will be critical in maintaining high software quality standards and providing reliable solutions that meet user and business requirements. You will work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, an understanding of software testing methodologies, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Designing, developing, and executing test plans, test cases, and automated scripts to ensure software quality
Deliver customer value in the form of high-quality software components and services in adherence with RPR policies on Security, performance, longevity and Integration testing
Estimate the size of development/testing tasks in story points
Understand and follow coding conventions, architectures, and best practices
Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills
Resolves technical/production issues through debugging, research, and investigation
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Must have working knowledge of commonly used design patterns

Education, Experience, & Skills Required:
3 - 4 years of proven experience as a QA engineer, software tester, or similar role with expertise in manual and automated testing
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science Engineering
Significant software engineering skills and computer science experience
Experience in Agile Delivery Methodology and working with Scrum teams preferred
Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript to build and run automated test scripts
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG), and frameworks
Experience with performance testing tools (LoadRunner or JMeter)
Experience with bug tracking and project management tools (JIRA, Bugzilla)
Experience with API testing
Understanding of database management systems and SQL for data verification
Understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Experience with version control and collaboration tools (Git, Bitbucket)
Knowledge of security testing practices and tools in India
Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools (Scrum, Kanban)
Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies
Knowledge of AI tools which can make the testing much faster and better
