About the Team




The Dev-Extension team ("DevEx" for short) at Nutanix is a 70+ person team located primarily in the US and India. They play a crucial role in maintaining a high NPS score by solving and root causing challenging customer problems at a code level. The entire company admires their successes, and they have been often recognized in multiple R&D All Hands. What sets them apart is their commitment to sustaining engineering and their ability to address customer issues efficiently and holistically.

Your Role



Handle and resolve customer issues escalated from the SRE team, providing timely support. Collaborate with component teams to diagnose and troubleshoot multi-component issues effectively. Maintain a strong understanding of the overall system architecture and component interactions. Engage in on-call support duties to ensure continuous service availability and problem resolution. Utilize front-end and back-end development skills to address technical challenges faced by customers. Participate in continuous learning and development to stay updated on system processes and technologies. Support the development and implementation of the new service provider product. Contribute to maintaining high customer satisfaction by resolving issues efficiently and accurately.

What You Will Bring



Bachelor's in Computer Science with 4-6 yrs of industry experience OR Master's in Computer Science Love of programming and rock-solid experience in one or more languages: Python or Java OR Golang, ideally for enterprise-quality software Proficient with Linux operating systems and understanding system processes and interactions. Strong programming skills, including algorithms (e.g., array and binary search), multithreading, and synchronization concepts. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot multi-component issues effectively. Experience in customer support or handling technical issues in a distributed environment. Databases - (SQLServer, Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB, Postgres, SAP/HANA etc) Linux Systems and Storage - (SAN/NAS/HCI), Virtualization) Optional/Nice to have. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset. Adaptability to learn new technologies and operational processes quickly.

Work Arrangement




Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
